In this variant of NAICS 2022 Version 1.0 for the energy (E) sector, the notations "i" and "e" are used in the numbering system. Codes ending with the letter "i" refer to groupings that are different from those of NAICS 2022 Version 1.0 because they only contain E industries. Codes ending with the letter "e" refer to groupings that are different from those of NAICS 2022 Version 1.0 in that they exclude the E industries. Codes that have neither an "i" nor an "e" are precisely the NAICS 2022 Version 1.0 codes.
