This subsector consists of groupings of companies primarily engaged in providing services to persons or households not elsewhere classified.

891 - Personal and Household Services

Companies primarily engaged in providing barber and beauty services, laundry and dry cleaning services and other personal and household services.

8911 - Barber, Hairdressing and Beauty Services

Companies primarily engaged in providing men's barbering and hair styling services and women's hairdressing and beauty services.

8912 - Laundry and Dry Cleaning Services

Companies primarily engaged in providing laundry and dry cleaning services. Carpet cleaning is covered here.

8919 - Other Personal and Household Services

Companies primarily engaged in providing funeral services, shoe repair, fur cleaning and personal and household services not elsewhere classified. Private households employing workers on or about the premises are covered here. Retail drapery making service is covered in 8711 - Household Furniture, Appliances and Furnishings Retailing.
