Variant of status of tenure of household

1 - Owner

This category includes households where some member of the household owns their dwelling, even if it is still being paid for.

2 - Renter

This category includes households where no member of the household owns their dwelling. The dwelling is considered to be rented even if no cash rent is paid.

3 - Band housing

This category includes households who live in a dwelling on an Indian reserve or settlement that has been provided to members of a First Nation or Indian band.
