Variant of the Standard Classification of Countries and Areas of Interest 2022 for Travel Statistics

Status: This standard was approved as a program-specific standard on June 13, 2023.

The classification variant for travel statistics includes customized groupings (geographical macro-regions and geographical sub-regions) of the SCCAI countries for the publication of travel statistics data. This variant has been developed for the analysis of travel statistics. It is available to other program areas at Statistics Canada should it meet their needs, but there is no requirement for it to be used outside of the Tourism Statistics Program.
