This series comprises general instructional programs and independent or individualized studies in the liberal arts subjects, the humanities disciplines and the general curriculum.

Note: Series 55 is for Canadian use only. In the United States, programs that provide instruction in French as a foreign language should be reported under instructional program code 16.0901.
