This industry group comprises establishments primarily engaged in retailing a wide range of products, with each merchandise line constituting a separate department within the store. Selected departments may be operated by separate establishments, on a concession basis.

4552 - Warehouse clubs, Supercentres and other general merchandise retailers^US

This industry group comprises establishments primarily engaged in retailing a general line of grocery items typically by multi-unit cases and/or in large formats, in combination with a general line of non-grocery items; and typically charging a membership fee. It also comprises of establishments, not classified to any other industry group, primarily engaged in retailing goods in general merchandise retailers.
