Variant of the Standard Classification of Countries and Areas of Interest 2019 for Travel Statistics

This classification variant is based on the Standard Classification of Countries and Areas of Interest (SCCAI) 2019.

The classification variant for travel statistics includes customized groupings (geographical macro-regions and geographical sub-regions) of the SCCAI countries for the publication of travel statistics data. This variant has been developed for the analysis of travel statistics. It is available to other program areas at Statistics Canada should it meet their needs, but there is no requirement for it to be used outside of the Canadian Centre for Tourism and Transportation Statistics.
