Classification of highest educational attainment - variant for alternate reporting
11 - Grade 8 or equivalent or lower (highest)
This category includes persons with no schooling or with schooling no higher than completion of grade 8. In Quebec this refers to completion of schooling no higher than Secondary II. Persons who received education that could be counted towards a postsecondary certificate, diploma or degree are excluded from this category.
