This category includes persons who have not obtained any postsecondary certificate or diploma from a college, CEGEP or other non-university institution regardless of any other educational credentials they may have obtained. Persons who have obtained college, CEGEP or other non-university certificates or diplomas based only on programs that are typically completed in less than the minimum duration (3 months) are included in this category.

2 - With college, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma

This category includes persons who have obtained a postsecondary certificate or diploma of 3 months or more from a public or private college, CEGEP (either general/pre-university or technical), polytechnic, institute of technology, school of nursing, business school or vocational school. Included in this category are persons who obtained a teaching or nursing certificate awarded by a provincial/territorial department of education, with the exception of teachers' or nurses' qualifications at the bachelor level or above.
