Classification of type of exporter

1 - Direct exporters

Includes enterprises that sold goods or services directly to foreign markets.

2 - Indirect exporters

Includes enterprises that sold goods or services to another business in Canada that then exported these goods or services "as-is".

3 - Intermediary exporters

Includes enterprises that sold goods or services to another business in Canada that used the goods as intermediate inputs in a final good that was then exported.
