This sector comprises establishments primarily engaged in providing short-term lodging and complementary services to travellers, vacationers and others, in facilities such as hotels, motor hotels, resorts, motels, casino hotels, bed and breakfast accommodations, housekeeping cottages and cabins, recreational vehicle parks and campgrounds, hunting and fishing camps, and various types of recreational and adventure camps. This sector also comprises establishments primarily engaged in preparing meals, snacks and beverages, to customer orders, for immediate consumption on and off the premises.
721 - Accommodation services
This subsector comprises establishments primarily engaged in providing short-term lodging for travellers, vacationers and others. In addition to lodging, a range of other services may be provided. For example, many establishments have restaurants, while others have recreational facilities. Lodging establishments are classified in this subsector even if the provision of complementary services generates more revenues.
Establishments that operate lodging facilities primarily designed to accommodate outdoor enthusiasts, are also included in this subsector. These establishments are characterized by the type of accommodation and by the nature and the range of recreational facilities and activities provided to their clients.
Establishments that manage short-stay accommodation establishments, such as hotels and motels, on a contractual basis are classified in this subsector if they provide both management and operating staff. These establishments are classified according to the type of facility they manage.

This industry group comprises establishments primarily engaged in providing short-term lodging in facilities such as hotels, motor hotels, resorts, motels, casino hotels, bed and breakfast homes, and housekeeping cottages and cabins. These establishments may offer food and beverage services, recreational services, conference rooms and convention services, laundry services, parking and other services.

The casino operation includes table wagering games and may include other gambling activities, such as slot machines and sports betting. These establishments generally offer a range of services and amenities, such as food and beverage services, entertainment, valet parking, swimming pools, and conference and convention facilities.
