Fare Basis Survey Record Layout

For Information onlyThis is an electronic survey example for information purposes only. This is not a working questionnaire.

Introduction

Purpose

The Fare Basis Survey represents a regular and comprehensive source of fare type-specific data on passengers, revenues, and average air fares.

Additional information

The Fare Basis Survey collects passenger and revenue data on a coupon origin and destination basis, by city-pair (on a directional basis) and by fare basis code. All Canadian Level I air carriers conducting scheduled transportation services, both domestic and international, are required to report Fare Basis data for 14 sample days of each quarter (i.e., 56 sample days in every calendar year).
