Is it compulsory in [Newfoundland-and-Labrador/Prince Edward Island/Nova Scotia/New Brunswick/Quebec/Ontario/Manitoba/Saskatchewan/Alberta/British Colombia/Yukon/Northwest Territories/Nunavut] to have your [journeyman certificate or qualification certificate/certificate of vocational qualification or competency certificate-journeyman/certificate of qualification] to work without any supervision as a (an) [^TRADE_E/[SC_S17A/NAS2015_LookupTable.NOCTRADE]]?

Every trade is defined by the province or territory, as either a compulsory trade or a voluntary trade. A compulsory trade requires that you be an apprentice or have a Certificate of Qualification (journeyperson's qualification) in order to work in the trade. A voluntary trade does not have these requirements for work (although it is possible to be an apprentice and complete a Certificate of Qualification - journeypersons qualification - in many voluntary trades.)

Do you have a [journeyman certificate or qualification certificate/certificate of vocational qualification or competency certificate-journeyman/certificate of qualification] as a (an) [^TRADE_E/[SC_S17A/NAS2015_LookupTable.NOCTRADE]]?

Certificate of Qualification or Journeyman Certificate can be with or without a Red Seal (a Red Seal certification allows you to work in your trade anywhere in Canada). It does not include certificates granted during the required course work. It does not include a Certificate of Apprenticeship which implies having done work and required course work, but not the exam.
