Healthy living (HLV)

HLV is offered as a rapid response module for the 2020 collection year (between January and June) and data is collected from all provinces. This rapid response module is split up into two parts: HLV and HLV2.

This first part of HLV collects information about sleep in the past seven days. Respondents are asked about the time they usually fall asleep and wake up. As well as questions about sleep quality, use of electronics before going to sleep, the number of minutes it usually takes to fall asleep and the number of days they woke up 3 or more times during their sleep.

The rest of the questions deal with activities that increase bone or muscle strength, as well as activities that improve balance.
