Description

In collaboration with the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC), this data provides Canadians and researchers with preliminary data to monitor only the confirmed cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Canada. Given the rapidly evolving nature of this situation, these data are considered preliminary.

Given the rapidly evolving nature of the COVID-19 pandemic and the multi-tiered approach to data collection on case reporting, data are considered preliminary. Confirmed case data is collected by the PHAC from various sources, including provincial and territorial Health ministries. These data should not be considered comprehensive given a possible lag time between when cases occur and when they are reported nationally.
