As of the this reference period, the title was changed to "Entrepreneurship Indicators Database".

Target population - The Entrepreneurship Indicators Database contains a complete, up-to-date and unduplicated list of all businesses in Canada based on Statistics Canada's Business Register. In previous years, only data for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) were included. SMEs were defined as enterprises with less than 250 employees and less than $50 million in total revenue.
