Soil landscape boundary of geographic area, area
Soil landscape boundary refers to the geographical area, either a census metropolitan area (CMA) or a census agglomeration (CA), that can be extended, or not, by combining Soil Landscape of Canada (SLC) polygons that intersect the area boundaries and SLC polygons that are fully contained within the newly formed boundary of the census metropolitan area-ecosystems (CMA-E) or census agglomeration-ecosystems (CA-E).
Geographic area refers to areas whose boundaries are specifically delimited in accordance with well-defined concepts and which, in total, cover the entire landmass of Canada. It excludes Canadian territorial enclaves abroad.
