Medical attention for injury of person, status

Medical attention for injury refers to whether or not the injured person received medical attention from a health professional in the 48 hours following the injury. If the person sustained more than one injury during the specified period, this variable refers to the most serious injury.

Person refers to an individual and is the unit of analysis for most social statistics programs.
