Indigenous Peoples Survey (IPS)
Number of persons in household of person, category
Number of persons in household refers to the number of persons who occupy the same dwelling and do not have a usual place of residence elsewhere in Canada or abroad. Household members who are temporarily absent on the survey reference day are considered part of their usual household.
Person refers to an individual and is the unit of analysis for most social statistics programs.
The data for this variable are reported using the following classifications and/or lists:
