Premature mortality of person, type
Premature mortality refers to the sum of potential years of life lost (PYLL) for ages 0 to 74 for the five years of reference, divided by five times the estimate of the population aged 0 to 74 for the middle year of the five years of reference.
Person refers to an individual and is the unit of analysis for most social statistics programs.
