Probability of ever marrying of person, proportion
Probability of ever marrying refers to a summary indicator of the quantum or intensity of nuptiality. It is derived from the period first-marriage table, which is a demographic model representing the trajectory of an hypothetical cohort that would experience, at each age, the age-specific first-marriage rates observed in a given year, and in the absence of mortality and migration before marriage.
Person refers to an individual and is the unit of analysis for most social statistics programs.
