Particulate organic carbon concentration describes living and dead organic matter above 0.2 µm in size that is either suspended or sinking to the ocean floor. Units are mg/cubic meter.
Oceanic geographic area refers to areas whose boundaries are specifically delimited in accordance with well-defined concepts and which, in total, cover the entire ocean area within the outer boundary of exclusive economic zone of Canada.
