Employment rate of geographic area, rate

Employment rate refers to the number of employed persons expressed as a percentage of the persons 15 years of age and over. The employment rate for a particular group (age, sex, marital status) is the number employed in that group expressed as a percentage of the population for that group.

Geographic area refers to areas whose boundaries are specifically delimited in accordance with well-defined concepts and which, in total, cover the entire landmass of Canada. It excludes Canadian territorial enclaves abroad.
