Life expectancy of person, measure
Life expectancy refers to the number of years a person would be expected to live, starting at a given age, if the age- and sex-specific mortality rates for a given observation period (such as a calendar year) were held constant over the estimated life span.
Person refers to an individual and is the unit of analysis for most social statistics programs.
The data for this variable are reported using the following measurements:
