Visit to Canada refers to a travel to Canada by a person from a foreign country, regardless of the purpose of travel, whether for business or tourism. A visit to Canada includes overnight visits only. If more than one person travel together, the value of visits accounts for all persons in the travelling party as if they were travelling separately.

Person refers to an individual and is the unit of analysis for most social statistics programs.
