Variant of CIP Canada 2016 - Cannabis primary groupings

Additional information

The Variant of CIP Canada 2016 - Cannabis primary groupings is a new variant of CIP that was developed by Statistics Canada for CIP Canada 2016, and is only used for the presentation and analysis of highly aggregated data when the data have been coded using the Variant of CIP Canada 2016 - Cannabis groupings.

The first level of the variant uses the same thirteen 'primary groupings' from the Variant of CIP 2016 - Primary groupings that are a convenient and useful basis for summarizing and analyzing more detailed classes.

In the second level, each of the CIP series is placed in its' appropriate primary grouping, except for series 30 Multidisciplinary/interdisciplinary studies and additional series 71 Cannabis-related instructional programs.

Series 30 Multidisciplinary/interdisciplinary studies, has been split so that each four-digit subseries can be placed in its' appropriate primary grouping.

Series 71 Cannabis-related instructional programs, has been split so that each six-digit instructional program class can be placed in its' appropriate primary grouping.
