Individuals' participation in social networks, organizations, and associations, as well as in the political process.
Includes aspects of social capital and social cohesion, such as relationships with family and friends, membership and participation in clubs and other non-governmental organizations, voting, campaigning, attending public meetings, and protesting. Attitudes and values such as trust in others, confidence in institutions, and sense of belonging are also included.
