Length of probation of case

Definition

Length of probation refers to the amount of time a probation order is in force. A probation order carries conditions that convicted individuals have to meet in order to continue serving their sentence in the community.

Case refers to one or more charges against an accused person or company, which were processed by the courts at the same time (date of offence, date of initiation, date of first appearance, date of decision/sentencing), and received a final decision.
