Definition
Financial support received for care provided refers to whether or not a person received financial support for providing care to a relative or friend with a long-term illness, disability or aging needs, and, if applicable, the source of any financial support received. Such financial support can come from family or friends or from government programs.
Person refers to an individual and is the unit of analysis for most social statistics programs.
