Perception of person: local police enforcing the law
Definition
Perception of local police enforcing the law refers to whether a person feels that the local police force does a good job, an average job or a poor job of enforcing the law. Local police force refers to the police responsible for the municipality, and excludes security guards, fire marshals, by-law officers and all others who have no authority to make arrests.
Person refers to an individual and is the unit of analysis for most social statistics programs.
