Definition
Motivation type refers to the reason or reasons one has for acting or behaving in a particular way. Type refers to a general character, form, or a characteristic that distinguishes a particular group or class of things.
Hate crime refers to a criminal violation motivated by hate, based on race, national or ethnic origin, language, colour, religion, sex, age, mental or physical disability, sexual orientation or any other similar factor, such as profession or political beliefs.
