This category includes persons who reported having ancestors who were First Nations (North American Indian), Métis and/or Inuit. Persons in this category may or may not also have reported ancestors who were of non-Aboriginal ethnic origin(s).

2 - Non-Aboriginal ancestry

This category includes persons who reported having ancestors who were of non-Aboriginal ethnic origin(s) only.

Note
In the 2011 National Household Survey, 'Non-Aboriginal ancestry' is referred to as ' Non-Aboriginal ancestry only'.
