871 - Public administration services

This group comprises services of a governmental nature, that is, services related to the enactment and judicial interpretation of laws and their pursuant regulations, and the administration of programs based on them. Services provided by government that are not governmental in nature are classified to the same service categories as equivalent services provided by the private sector.

87121 - Provincial and territorial public administration services

This class comprises the services of provincial and territorial governments that are of a governmental nature, such as legislative, judicial, taxation, and public order and safety services, and the administration of provincial or territorial government programs.

871211 - Provincial and territorial protective services

This subclass comprises the services of provincial and territorial governments of ensuring the security of persons and property.

871212 - Provincial and territorial labour and employment services

This subclass comprises services of provincial and territorial governments in labour market research and matters pertaining to employer-employee relations, including the promotion of improved working conditions and the provision of arbitration and conciliation services in collective bargaining.

871213 - Other provincial and territorial government public administration services

This subclass comprises services provided by provincial and territorial governments with respect to executive and legislative activities; fiscal and related policies and the administration of the public debt; assessing, levying and collecting taxes; conducting relations with other levels of government; and the administration of provincial and territorial government programs.
