This minor group includes industrial, manufacturing, metallurgical, materials, mining, geological, petroleum, aerospace, and computer engineers (except software engineers and designers), as well as other engineers not included elsewhere. They are employed by governments; consulting, engineering, mining, petroleum, well logging or testing, utilities, and telecommunications companies; in manufacturing and processing; by air transport carriers; and financial, health, research and educational institutions; or they may be self-employed.
