2 - Mover

This category includes persons who, in a specified reference period, have moved from one residence to another.

2.2 - Migrant

This category includes internal and external migrants.

2.2.1 - Internal migrant

This category includes persons who moved to a different city, town, township, village or Indian Reserve within Canada.

2.2.2 - External migrant

This category includes persons who lived outside Canada at the earlier reference date. These external migrants include landed immigrants who moved to Canada but also Canadian-born persons who were out of the country but returned during the reference period.
