Studies in the medical science dealing with radioactive substances, x-rays and other ionizing radiation and the application of radiological principals to the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Some special techniques in this field include diagnostic imaging, radiopharmaceutical preparation and the use of medically useful nuclides, position emission tomography, ultrasound and computer assisted tomography.
