61.2602 - Integrated interventional radiology residency programs

This instructional program class comprises any fellowship training program that prepares physicians in image-guided therapies, using fluoroscopy, digital radiography, computed tomography, sonography, and magnetic resonance imaging, to guide small devices inserted into the body through very small openings. These programs include instruction in angioplasty, stent placement, thrombolysis, embolization, biliary and genitourinary drainages, and abscess drainages. Does NOT require prior completion of a residency program in diagnostic radiology.
