61.2101 - Plastic surgery residency programs

This instructional program class comprises any residency training program that prepares physicians in the repair, replacement and reconstruction of defects of form and function of the integument and its underlying musculoskeletal system. These programs include instruction in aesthetic as well as reconstructive surgery, with emphasis on the craniofacial structures, the oropharynx, the hand, the breast and the external genitalia. Requires prior completion of a program in general surgery.
