Includes early childhood education programs, literacy and numeracy programs, adult basic education programs, non-credit second language programs, and personal improvement programs.

611001.1.4 - Second language learning programs (non-credit)

Programs and courses that focus on the development of proficiency in reading, writing and speaking a language or languages other than the mother tongue, that are needed to perform day to day tasks. Includes programs designed to assist immigrants, and language learning summer camps. Programs are not for academic credit, although some form of recognition or award may be granted.
