16 - Post-doctoral program

This category includes graduate programs that normally require a doctoral degree for admission. Post-doctoral activities that do not meet the definition of a "program," such as those in the labour market, are excluded from this category. 'Post-doctoral program' is also referred to as 'Graduate program (above the third cycle)'.

16.1 - Post-doctoral short credential

This category includes short credentials for graduate programs that normally require a doctoral degree for admission. These are formal qualifications granted upon successful completion of programs that are shorter than programs where a certificate, diploma or degree is the formal qualification awarded.

16.2 - Post-doctoral certificate

This category includes certificates for graduate programs that normally require a doctoral degree for admission.

16.3 - Post-doctoral diploma

This category includes diplomas for graduate programs that normally require a doctoral degree for admission.

16.4 - Post-doctoral degree

This category includes degrees for graduate programs that normally require a doctoral degree for admission.

16.5 - Other post-doctoral credential

This category includes other recognized credentials for graduate programs that normally require a doctoral degree for admission. It excludes post-doctoral short credentials, certificates, diplomas and degrees.
