This group comprises services of a governmental nature, that is, services related to the enactment and judicial interpretation of laws and their pursuant regulations, and the administration of programs based on them. Services provided by government that are not governmental in nature are classified to the same service categories as equivalent services provided by the private sector.

87111 - Federal government public administration services

This class comprises the federal government services of a governmental nature, such as legislative, judicial, taxation, national defence, public order and safety, immigration, foreign affairs and international assistance services, and the administration of federal programs.

871111 - Defence services

This subclass comprises the defence services provided by the Canadian Armed Forces and civilian agencies.

871112 - Federal protective services

This subclass comprises the federal government services of ensuring the security of persons and property.

871113 - Federal labour, employment and immigration services

This subclass comprises services for labour, employment, immigration, citizenship and other related fields provided by the federal government.

871114 - Foreign affairs and international assistance

This subclass comprises the federal government services of foreign affairs and international assistance.

871115 - Other federal government public administration services

This subclass comprises services provided by the federal government with respect to executive and legislative activities; fiscal and related policies and the administration of the public debt; assessing, levying and collecting taxes; conducting relations with other levels of government; and the administration of federal programs.
