This subsector comprises establishments primarily engaged in the transport of goods by pipeline. The pipelines are designed to specifications for the transport of a particular good, such as crude oil, natural gas and refined petroleum products. Pipeline transportation includes integrated systems comprising various types of pipelines and ancillary facilities, such as pumping stations and incidental storage facilities.

This industry group comprises establishments primarily engaged in the pipeline transportation of crude oil.

This industry group comprises establishments primarily engaged in the pipeline transportation of natural gas, from gas fields or processing plants to local distribution systems.

4869 - Other pipeline transportation

This industry group comprises establishments, not classified to any other industry group, primarily engaged in pipeline transportation.
