562001 - Waste management and remediation services

562001.1 - Non-hazardous waste management

This product group includes a wide range of services provided for the management of non-hazardous waste streams from residential and non-residential locations. Among the services included are the collection, transportation, sorting, consolidation, storage, other processing, and disposal of non-hazardous waste and recyclable materials.

562001.1.1 - Non-hazardous waste and recyclable material collection services

Collection and subcontracted collection of garbage, refuse, rubbish and trash and recyclable materials non-hazardous, from residential and non-residential locations, construction and demolition sites, as well as the destruction of non-hazardous waste and other services of collection of other non-hazardous wastes.

562001.1.1.6 - Other non-hazardous waste collection services

Other non-hazardous waste collection services such as: urban sweeping services; non-hazardous waste collection for parks, recreational areas, and special events; non-hazardous waste holding and drain facilities cleaning and maintenance; pumping and cleaning of septic tanks; rental of portable toilets; etc.

562001.1.1.6.1 - Urban sweeping services

Cleaning of roads and plazas according to the needs and characteristics of each municipality with frequencies and schedules determined by the municipality.

562001.1.1.6.2 - Non-hazardous waste management services, parks, special event venues

Co-ordination services of restroom facilities and non-hazardous waste collection for parks, recreational areas, construction sites, and special events. Examples of services are the placement and maintenance of portable toilets and waste containers.

562001.1.1.6.3 - Non-hazardous waste holding and drain facilities cleaning and maintenance services

Pumping and cleaning of catch basins and other non-hazardous holding facilities and cleaning and rodding of drains and sewers, excluding transfer stations.

562001.1.1.6.4 - Septic tank maintenance services

Pumping and cleaning of septic tanks and cesspools.

562001.1.1.6.5 - Portable toilets rental services

Rental, maintenance, and pumping of portable toilets.

562001.1.1.6.6 - Non-hazardous waste collection services, n.e.c.

Collection of non-hazardous waste, not elsewhere classified, e.g., runway vacuuming, ploughing and removal of snow from parking lots and streets, beach cleaning and maintenance, waste container disinfection.
