Training program usually affiliated with hospitals which provides the theoretical and practical instruction and clinical experience required to prepare students for the national registry examinations of the Canadian Society of Respiratory Technologists. Training in this field includes procedures for dealing with patients with heart and lung disorders such as arterial analysis, ventilatory therapy, airway management, pulmonary function and cardiac monitoring.
