Program preparing students to carry out the duties of a certified or licensed dental assistant. The primary responsibilities of dental assistants include performing duties ranging from patient reception and record-keeping procedures to chair-side assistance and the processing of dental x-rays. Dental assistants are employed in private dental offices, clinics, hospitals, educational institutions and with dental product manufacturers.
