This category includes persons who have obtained any certificates, diplomas or degrees, or their equivalents.

2.4 - University certificate or diploma or degree (highest)

This category refers to persons who have obtained a university (level) certificate or diploma or degree from a degree-granting institution.

2.4.2 - University certificate or diploma or degree at bachelor level or above (highest)

This category includes persons who have obtained a university (level) certificate or diploma or a degree from a degree-granting institution; This includes persons who obtained a bachelor's degree, a master's degree, a degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or optometry or an earned doctorate. If a bachelor's degree is normally a prerequisite for a university certificate or diploma course, as may occur with teaching certificates, then persons who obtained that certificate or diploma are included here.

2.4.2.1 - Bachelor's degree (highest)

This category includes persons who have obtained a bachelor's degree awarded by a degree-granting institution and who have not obtained any higher degrees, certificates or diplomas. It includes for example, Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, and Bachelor of Law.

2.4.2.2 - University certificate, diploma or degree above bachelor level (highest)

This category includes persons who have obtained, through a degree-granting institution, a certificate, diploma or degree that usually requires a bachelor's degree as a prerequisite. This category includes persons who have obtained any of the following: 1) degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or optometry; 2) master's degree or 3) earned doctorate.
