16.1601 - American Sign Language (ASL)/Langue des signes québécoise (LSQ)

This instructional program class comprises any program that focuses on American Sign Language (ASL) and/or Langue des signes québécoise (LSQ) as visual and motor media of communication and discourse for deaf individuals and deaf culture. These programs include courses in the development of ASL/LSQ, ASL/LSQ morphology and syntax, signing technique, English and/or French translation of ASL/LSQ, formal and colloquial ASL/LSQ, and ASL/LSQ transcription.
