Cannabis is bred to contain cannabinoids, in particular the tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) - more than 0.3% w/w (weight for weight) - and cannabidiol (CBD).

  • Exclusion(s)

    • cannabis based pharmaceuticals, at wholesale (See 551148 Pharmaceutical and medicinal products, at wholesale)
    • true hemp seeds for farming, not aimed at producing intoxicating and hallucinogenic cannabis (0.3% w/w or less of THC), at wholesale (See 5511715 Seeds and bulbs, at wholesale)
    • true hemp seeds for foods, not aimed at producing intoxicating and hallucinogenic cannabis (0.3% w/w or less of THC), at wholesale (See 5511121 Oilseeds and grains, at wholesale)

This subclass comprises wholesaling services for cannabis viable seeds and vegetative or live plants, mainly used for planting or sowing, cultivation and propagation of cannabis bred to contain cannabinoids, in particular THC (more than 0.3% w/w) and CBD, for non-medical and medical uses.

  • Exclusion(s)

    • cannabis based pharmaceuticals, at wholesale (See 551148 Pharmaceutical and medicinal products, at wholesale)

This subclass comprises wholesaling services for freshly harvested and dried cannabis flowering tops, including leaves, for non-medical and medical uses. Fresh and dried cannabis contain cannabinoids such as THC (more than 0.3% w/w) and CBD. Fresh cannabis refers to the fresh or water-rich flowering tops (buds) and leaves, of female plants, that have not been subjected to any drying process. Dried cannabis (also called marijuana, pot or weed) refers to harvested cannabis fresh flowering tops and leaves that have been subjected to drying and irradiation processes, but not further processed.

551213 - Cannabis oil, at wholesale

This subclass comprises wholesaling services for cannabis oil. Cannabis oil refers to an oil-based solution containing cannabinoids in their natural form, such as delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD), as well as other cannabinoids (CBC, CBG and CBN), and aromatic compounds (terpenes), which are mainly extracted from fresh or dried cannabis (buds and leaves), and dissolved in a carrier oil. Cannabis oil must be liquid at room temperature of 22 +/-2 degrees Celsius, contain no more than 30 milligrams of THC per millilitre of oil, when sold in bulk form, and 10 milligrams of total THC in capsule form or per dose of a metered product, and have a maximum yield percentage of 3% w/w or less of THC, taking into account the potential to convert the delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol acid (THCA) to neutral forms of THC. Cannabis oil does not contain any added flavour, scent or non-cannabis related substance other than carrier oil.

  • Exclusion(s)

    • hempseed oil (except when extracted for its CBD content), at wholesale (See 5511367 Other foods (including other food dry goods), n.e.c., at wholesale)

Cannabis solid and non-solid concentrates refer to substances that are in solid and non-solid forms at a room temperature of 22 +/- 2 degrees Celsius and that have a maximum yield percentage of greater than 3% w/w of THC, taking into account the potential to convert the delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol acid (THCA) into THC. Their usage can be non-medical or medical. Generally, there is a limit on the level of THC a product available for sale could contain.

551215 - Cannabis-infused edible products, at wholesale
