50. - Visual and performing arts

This series comprises instructional programs that focus on the creation and interpretation of works and performances that use auditory, kinesthetic, and visual phenomena to express ideas and emotions in various forms, subject to aesthetic criteria.

50.05 - Drama/theatre arts and stagecraft

This subseries comprises instructional program classes 50.0501 to 50.0599.

50.0510 - Costume design

This instructional program class comprises any program that prepares individuals to design and select costumes for characters in theatre and the performing arts and to serve as part of a production team. These programs include courses in costume design, script analysis, theory and criticism, period styles, history of costume, stage makeup, rendering, and costume construction.
