562001 - Waste management and remediation services

562001.1 - Non-hazardous waste management

This product group includes a wide range of services provided for the management of non-hazardous waste streams from residential and non-residential locations. Among the services included are the collection, transportation, sorting, consolidation, storage, other processing, and disposal of non-hazardous waste and recyclable materials.

562001.2 - Hazardous waste collection services

Collection and subcontracted collection of hazardous waste, residential and non-residential such as cleaning and removal of hazardous waste from pick-up and retention facilities. The hazardous waste can include recyclable materials.

562001.3 - Hazardous waste and recyclable material consolidation, storage and preparation services

The consolidation, storage and preparation for transportation of hazardous waste and the recovery of recyclable material from the hazardous waste stream.

562001.4 - Hazardous waste treatment services

Treatment to reduce, eliminate, or transform hazardous waste. Processes include biological, chemical, and/or physical procedures, as well as incineration; such processes may lead to disposal and/or to the recovery of recyclable material.

562001.5 - Hazardous waste disposal services

Disposal, of hazardous waste, at a facility that meets legal standards for the disposal of hazardous waste e.g., by controlled confinement, landfilling and other methods.

562001.6 - Hazardous waste disposal facilities - operation, maintenance and closure services

Operation, maintenance and monitoring of operating facilities, maintenance and monitoring of closed facilities, and closing of disposal facilities of hazardous wastes.

562001.7 - Hazardous waste management services, n.e.c.

Services undertaken for the purpose of the management of hazardous waste, not elsewhere classified.

562001.8 - Remediation services

This product group includes a wide of services provided for the remediation of sites whose air, water, and or soil has been contaminated by hazardous materials and substances. Among the services included in this product group are assessment, planning, clean-up, containment, and monitoring of contaminated sites. Also included are remediation services for building contaminated by hazardous substances and emergency response services for fuel, petroleum, and mine spills.
